Hieronymus Bosch was a Dutch draughtsman and painter from Brabant, The Netherlands. Bosch’s work is known for its fantastic imagery, detailed landscapes and illustrations of religious concepts. I personally love Bosch’s macabre and nightmarish depictions of hell.
Fans of the 1972 Charles Bronson cult classic action film The Mechanic, will know that this painting features significantly in scenes from the movie that take place in the lead character’s home. Bronson would display the painting as he planned his next assignment.
The original Garden of Earthly Delights hangs in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, Spain.
