From a story that was originally reported on THR, I posted a preview on MyFantasyArt of the controversial upcoming DC Entertainment return to the Watchmen universe, the acclaimed 1986 graphic novel by writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons.
This summer, DC Comics will publish a seven comic book mini-series called Before Watchmen. Every week, a new prequel title will be released, each focusing on the characters’ lives and adventures in the years before the original Watchmen story.
The iconic characters of course, include Rorschach, Comedian, Dr. Manhattan, Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Silk Spectre, and the 1940s superteam The Minutemen. Each will be featured in stories from noted comics creators including the previously mentioned J. Michael Straczynski, Brian Azzarello, Darwyn Cooke, Adam Hughes, Andy Kubert and Joe Kubert, among others.
