Lee Majors (Steve Austin from The Six Million Dollar Man), along with Battlestar Galactica’s Mary McDonnell, “Batman” Adam West, “Robin” Burt Ward, and the Brady Bunch kids, are among the headliners for Wizard World Big Apple Comic Con, taking place from October 1-3, 2010 at Manhattan’s Penn Plaza Pavilion.
According to Wizard World, promoters of the event, Big Apple Con will mark the first convention appearance for Lee Majors in 30 years.
Majors is most famous for his role as Col. Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man, which ran from 1974-1978, after a successful 1973 tele-film. He played an astronaut and test pilot who’s severely mutilated in a test plane crash, but rebuilt and equipped with nuclear powered bionic limbs and an eye implant – all making him “better…stronger…faster.”
The event also marks a first for the Bradys together at an East Coast Con, as well as a first for Adam West and Burt Ward together in New York in two decades.
Also attending Wizard World Big Apple Comic Con will be Claudia Christian, Julia Jones, Erik Estrada and many other celebrity guests. Big Apple Comic Con is part of North America’s largest pop culture tour and the longest-running Comic Con in New York, and celebrates movies, comics, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art and collectibles.
Lee Majors, who also played the iconic Colt Seavers in The Fall Guy, will be joined by two-time Academy Award nominee Mary McDonnell (Passion Fish, Dances With Wolves), Adam West (Batman, Family Guy), and Barry Williams, Christopher Knight & Mike Lookinland (Greg, Peter and Bobby Brady on The Brady Bunch).
