Danny Trejo talks Machete, Sin City 2, and Robert Rodriguez’s Predators

Punch Drunk Critics managed to get a few minutes with Danny Trejo last weekend at the Horrorfind convention, where he talked about his involvement with Machete, Sin City 2, and the Predators reboot film. Trejo was cool enough to get Kristina Klebe from Rob Zombie’s Halloween in on the interview, who also talked about upcoming projects as well.

Trejo was nice enough to list the incredible cast, which includes Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin (both of whom were in the Grindhouse trailer), Michelle Rodriguez, Robert De Niro, Steven Segal, Lindsay Lohan and Daryl Sabara, not to mention Trejo’s own kids and some of his best friends.

According to the report, Machete has definitely finished lensing, Sin City 2 is still in the works, but not before Trejo appears in Rodriguez’s Predators, which brings a huge smile to this fanboy’s face. Now, if only a firm start date for Sin City 2 could be established, all would be right in the action movie world.

Machete is due in theaters sometime in 2010, while Predators is due on July 7, 2010, with Kontroll and Armored director Nimród Antal at the helm. Sin City 2 is still in development and possibly coming to cinemas in 2011.
