Trailer for the Benicio Del Toro film The Wolf Man bites into the web

The trailer for Benicio Del Toro’s new film The Wolf Man, which is based on the classic monster movie, as hit the net. Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving also star in the Joe Johnston (Hidalgo, Jurassic Park III, upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America) movie that tells the story of Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro), a haunted nobleman who is lured back to his family estate to help find his brother, who has disappeared, but instead discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.

Talbot soon learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing local villagers and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Weaving) has come to investigate.

As he pieces together the gory puzzle, he hears of an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves when the moon is full. Now, if he has any chance at ending the slaughter and protecting the woman he has grown to love, Talbot must destroy the vicious creature in the woods surrounding Blackmoor. But as he hunts for the nightmarish beast, a simple man with a tortured past will uncover a primal side to himself.

The Wolf Man will be in theaters on February 12, 2010.
