Columbia Pictures has revealed the first trailer for David O. Russell’s crime drama American Hustle, which hits theaters on Christmas Day. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Michael Peña, Jack Huston, Louis C.K., Alessandro Nivola, Elisabeth Röhm, Colleen Camp, Dawn Olivieri, Anthony Zerbe, Thomas Matthews, Melissa McMeekin, Erica McDermott, Adrian Martinez, Dennis Pietrantonio, Jay Giannone and Shannon Halliday. American Hustle is described as a fictional tale set in the seductive world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation. The film tells the story of con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning British partner and lover Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), is forced to work for unhinged FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and organized crime that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting.
