NBC has gone social to reveal trailers for some of its upcoming fall dramas, including their reinvention of Dracula starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and a remake of the show Ironside, starring Blair Underwood as the tough-as-nails police detective. The premise of both shows looks pretty damn good, so I hope NBC gets them right.
Dracula television series stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the head-vamp-in-charge, as he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There’s only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife. Dracula also stars Nonso Anozie, Jessica De Gouw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Thomas Kretschmann, Katie McGrath, Victoria Smurfit, Anthony Howell and Matt Barber.

Ironside – a remake of the 1967 television series that starred Raymond Burr – centers on Robert T. Ironside (Blair Underwood), a tough and acerbic police detective who’s relegated to a wheelchair after a shooting. Hardly limited by his disability, he pushes and prods his hand-picked team to solve the most difficult cases. Ironside also stars Spencer Grammer, Pablo Schreiber, Brent Sexton, Kenneth Choi, Neal Bledsoe, Brian d’Arcy James, Kate Nowlin, Steven Weisz, Carrie Coon, Jake Picking, Nyle Lynn, Jackie Stewart, Shanga Parker and Patrick Brana. The original Ironside ran for 8 seasons and also starred Don Galloway, Don Mitchell, Barbara Anderson and Elizabeth Baur.
