#nycc #comiccon Guillermo del Toro bringing sci-fi epic Pacific Rim to New York Comic-Con 2012

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, Blade II) has been added to the list of guests for New York Comic-Con next month. According to the NYCC website, Del Toro will be on the Legendary Comics panel happening on Friday, October 12th from 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM. That said, he’s sure to be carrying some of the incredible footage from his upcoming Legendary-produced sci-fi thriller Pacific Rim that he showcased in San Diego.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim takes place when an alien attack threatens the Earth’s existence, leading to the development of giant robots piloted by humans, which are deployed to fight off the menace. Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman, Clifton Collins Jr., Rinko Kikuchi, Robert Maillet, Max Martini, Diego Klattenhoff, Heather Doerksen, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad William Henke, Jake Goodman, Timothy Gibbs, Robert Kazinsky, Joe Pingue, David Richmond-Peck, Milton Barnes, Duncan McLeod and Robert Morse.

The footage Del Toro and the Legendary team showcased at San Diego Comic-Con in July was absolutely amazing. Let’s see if he follows up with some exciting stuff for New York fans.
