Park Pictures has revealed new images from the company’s debut feature Robot & Frank, which will premiere at The Sundance Film Festival this Saturday, January 21st.
Robot & Frank is a buddy caper. Set in the near future, aging curmudgeon and retired jewel thief Frank (Langella) lives a solitary life until his son (Marsden) installs a caretaker robot; against he and his daughter’s (Tyler) wishes. The robot upends Frank’s lonely life – filled only with books and a visit to his favorite librarian – with a strict regimen of exercise, diet and gardening. Stubborn at first, Frank soon realizes Robot has the ability to pull off the most calculated of heists. An unlikely friendship, and crime duo, is born.
The Sundance premiere will include: the stars of the film, Frank Langella, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Peter Sarsgaard, Jeremy Sisto and Jeremy Strong; Robot & Frank’s director Jake Schreier; screenwriter C.D. Ford; Park Pictures Features producers Galt Niederhoffer and Sam Bisbee; and Park Picture founders Lance Acord and Jackie Kelman.
The Sundance Film Festival premiere of Robot & Frank takes place this Saturday, January 21st at 3:30pm, at Eccles, located at 1750 Kearns Blvd., in Park City, Utah.
