Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Riley Keough (Runways), is in talks to play one of the “Five Wives” in Mad Max 4, titled Fury Road, according to HeatVision. Series creator, filmmaker George Miller, has been busy for the last year preparing a series of high-end vehicles for the massive production in Australia.
Fury Road’s plot is being kept under wraps, but we know the movie takes place shortly after 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, the third film in the series (The first two were Mad Max and Mad Max 2, called The Road Warrior stateside). Mad Max will be played this time around by Tom Hardy from Inception.
Keough will play one of the “Five Wives,” a group of women Mad Max must protect from baddies. Zoe Kravitz, Teresa Palmer and Adelaide Clemens are three of the other “wives”. Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult round out the cast.
Production on Mad Max 4: Fury Road, is scheduled to start early next year.
Keough is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and actor/musician Danny Keough, and has two more pics due in theaters in the coming months, including The Good Doctor with Orlando Bloom, and Jack and Diane, an indie werewolf love story that also stars Juno Temple and Kylie Minogue.
