ABC has a series of San Diego Comic-Con 2010 events planned to celebrate its new action drama, No Ordinary Family – all of which take place on Saturday, July 24th.
Things commence at 1:00 p.m., when Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz will be available in the No Ordinary Family booth (#3921) to autograph full-sized posters from the show. Also at the booth throughout the day, visitors can lift a full-sized car with their super human strength, have their picture taken, and walk away with a photo of their “extraordinary” moment. Additionally, “No Ordinary Family” backpacks will be available at the booth in limited supply. You can even get “No Ordinary Hero” sandwiches at Cine Café, located at 412 K Street. The first 100 people who come to our booth with their “No Ordinary Family” wrapper will receive a free tee shirt. Throughout the day, they’ll also be randomly giving away “No Ordinary Family” tees to the crowd.
Then, at 3:15 p.m., there will be a screening of the pilot episode of the show in Room 6A, followed by a Q&A session with series stars Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz, along with executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Green Lantern, Eli Stone), Jon Harmon Feldman (Reunion, Tru Calling), and David Semel (Heroes, House M.D.). Those who attend the panel will receive an exclusive tee-shirt that won’t be available anywhere else during Comic-Con.
No Ordinary Family centers on the Powells, a family about to go from ordinary to extraordinary. After 16 years of marriage, Jim (Michael Chiklis from The Shield and Fantastic Four movies) feels disconnected from his workaholic wife Stephanie (Julie Benz from Dexter), and two teenage children, Daphne (Kay Panabaker from Summerland) and JJ (Jimmy Bennett from Star Trek). To encourage family bonding time, Jim decides the family will join Stephanie on her business trip to South America. When their plane crashes into the Amazon River, they barely enjoy a moment to celebrate their survival before returning to the grind of everyday life. But they soon realize that their lives have been forever changed, as each member of the family begins to show signs of new, unique and distinct super powers.
No Ordinary Family premieres on September 28, 2010, and also stars Oliver J. Alvarez, Nadine Crocker, Tate Donovan, Renee Faia, Jamie Harris, Romany Malco and Chord Overstreet.
