The Warner Bros. Hall H presentation will again present some of the biggest films coming to theaters – Green Lantern, Sucker Punch, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
First up is Green Lantern, where Con-goers will get an exclusive first look at the upcoming sci-fi action adventure being directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Edge of Darkness). Green Lantern is an epic adventure that crosses galaxies to bring to life the legendary Silver Age superhero Hal Jordan, who is chosen by the ring itself to become the first human member of the Green Lantern Corps and take on the vast and powerful Parallax as it threatens to destroy the world. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Dr. Hector Hammond, and Mark Strong as Sinestro. I would expect most of the film’s stars to be in attendance, although no appearances were specified in the Comic-Con schedule.
Green Lantern flies into theaters on June 17, 2011.
Next on the agenda is filmmaker Zack Snyder’s (300, Watchmen) action fantasy Sucker Punch, which centers on a group of young girls that escape the dark reality of their lives through their vivid imagination, which takes them to various fantasy locations in different realms. The ensemble cast features Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Carla Gugino, Jena Malone, Jamie Chung and Jon Hamm. It’s pretty much a lock that Snyder himself will make an appearance, but I would expect many of the main cast to show up as well.
Sucker Punch slams into theaters on what has become Zack Snyder Weekend – March 25, 2011
Things wrap up with a new look and exclusive look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final chapter in the Harry Potter lexicon. This part of the presentation will feature a first look at the coming screen adaptation of J. K. Rowling’s final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with a program created just for Comic-Con fans.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I hits theaters on November 19, 2010, followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II on July 15, 2011.
The films’ stars include Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Felton, Alan Rickman, Bonnie Wright, Rupert Grint, Jason Isaacs, Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy, Jamie Campbell Bower, Maggie Smith, John Hurt, Ciarán Hinds, Robbie Coltrane, Rhys Ifans, Evanna Lynch, Miranda Richardson, David Thewlis, Clémence Poésy, Brendan Gleeson, Warwick Davis, Helen McCrory and Timothy Spall.
The Warner Bros. Panel will take place on Saturday, July 24th, from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., in Hall H.
