Jennifer Lawrence, who recently starred in the indie drama Winter’s Bone, and Max Thieriot (Jumper, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl) are attached to star in the horror thriller House at the End of the Street, which is being directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush), according to THR.
House at the End of the Street centers on a teen girl (Lawrence) and her mom who move to a new town and learn that their home is across the street from a house where a double murder occurred. Problems follow as the teen befriends the massacre’s sole surviving son (Thieriot).
According to the report, House at the End of the Street, which is scheduled to begin shooting mid-July in Canada, looks be to Psycho what Disturbia was to Rear Window.
Aaron Ryder and Peter Block are producing House at the End of the Street with Tim Williams, Hal Lieberman and Jonathan Mostow. Mostow – who directed Breakdown, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, U-571 and Surrogates, wrote the original story that the screenplay (written by David Loucka) is based.
