Camelot Entertainment announced today the DVD release of 1428 Films’ Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, which is being billed as the definitive behind-the-scenes retrospective on the twenty-five year history of the horror franchise A Nightmare on Elm Street. ‘Never Sleep Again‘ will be available on DVD tomorrow, May 4th, 2010, following the theatrical release follows of New Line Cinema’s A Nightmare on Elm Street remake this past weekend, which pulled in over $30 million at the box office.
Narrated by original ‘Nightmare’ actress Heather Langenkamp and with over 100 interviews from the cast and crew, including directors Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street, New Nightmare), Renny Harlin (A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), and Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason), as well as talent John Saxon, rockstar Alice Cooper, Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason), and Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, ‘Never Sleep Again‘ captures the impact of pop culture and the horror genre, while exploring the intelligent, yet psychopathic character who brings everyone’s worst nightmares to life.
