Clive Owen will star opposite Jason Statham in the action-thriller The Killer Elite, which starts shooting next month in Australia with director Gary McKendry (Everything in This Country Must) at the helm, according to Variety.
The Killer Elite is based on a novel by Ranulph Fienne titled The Feather Men, and follows a group of former British special forces members being hunted by a team of assassins led by a former Navy Seal played by Jason Statham.
Clive Owen will play a senior field operative and member of a clandestine group protecting the special forces soldiers and their families.
The Killer Elite begins lensing in Melbourne on May 13th and is scheduled to continue there through mid-July, before moving to Wales.
