More about Steven Seagal: Lawman: The Complete Season One
Once, Steven Seagal was considered to be in the same class of action hero as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme, with high-octane blockbusters such as Above the Law and Hard to Kill collectively grossing more than $2 billion worldwide. But, today, the larger-than-life star and expert martial artist with a 7th-degree black belt in aikido is making his headlines in a much different manner – for almost 20 years, he has been working as a fully commissioned deputy with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana. This March, join A&E Home Entertainment for an action-packed ride-along in Steven Seagal: Lawman: The Complete Season One. It’s Cops with star-power in the 2-disc action-packed set, featuring all 13 inaugural episodes and never-before-seen bonus footage.
Premiering to a record-breaking 7 million viewers, the latest sensational real-life TV series from A&E hits the streets as Seagal and his hand-selected elite team of deputies respond to “hot calls” (violent crimes in progress), work with homicide detectives and, generally, make life a nuisance for the criminals of Jefferson Parrish. In addition to going out on patrol, Seagal, an expert marksman, works with the SWAT team and instructs officers in firearms and hand-to-hand combat. Then, the cameras continue to follow Seagal off-duty, as he pursues his many ventures – including animal activism, peddling energy drinks and performing impromptu musical benefits for the patients in the New Orleans Children’s Hospital cancer ward – from a luxury hotel suite in Downtown New Orleans.
