More about Nightmare
A film student finds himself the unwilling subject of a mysterious and deadly movie in a striking debut feature by Dylan Bank.
Reality and illusion clash frighteningly in Nightmare, a movie of daring originality that will make you think twice the next time you slide a DVD into your player. The debut film from director Dylan Bank makes its debut on DVD september 29, 2009, via leading indie label IFC Films.
Jason Scott Campbell (The Final Patient) and Nicole Roderick (Ugly Betty, How To Seduce Difficult Women) star in this mystery-thriller, in which nothing is as it seems. After a one-night stand together, a film student and an aspiring actress awake to find a video camera pointed at their bed. At first believing they’ve been the unwitting subjects of a sex tape, they are even more distressed to find that what the camera contains is a brutal snuff movie – starring themselves as the killers. But they have no memory of any murder and there’s no indication in their room of any gruesome killings. Do the answers to this waking terror lie in the student’s own work? Was there even a murder at all, or are we witnessing a descent into madness?
