New behind-the-scenes images emerge from comic adaptation The Losers

ComingSoon nabbed the above photo of Idris Elba and Jeffrey Dean Morgan shooting an action scene in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico for Stomp the Yard director Sylvain White’s comic book adaptation The Losers, which will be in theaters on April 9, 2010. Hancock director Peter Berg wrote the script for The Losers, based on Andy Diggle’s graphic novel.

The Losers follows the story of members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit, who’ve been dispatched to the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team, including Clay (Morgan), Jensen (Chris Evans), Roque (Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short) and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada), find themselves the target of a double-cross from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max (Jason Patric). Presumed dead, the group plan to even the score when joined by a mysterious and beautiful operative named Aisha (Zoe Saldana), who has her own agenda. Together they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in high-tech global warfare.

Holt McCallany and Peter Francis James also star in the upcoming film.
