New trailer and photos for the Melissa George horror film Triangle released

I had a trailer posted for Triangle back in February (SEE HERE), that the U.S. distributor promptly requested be removed. I have no idea why, since the film looks like it could be a solid thriller.

Triangle follows the story of a group of friends out sailing in the Atlantic when their yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety, a ship one of the group (Melissa George) is convinced she’s been on before. The ship appears deserted, with all the clocks on board stopped, but they are not alone… Someone begins hunting them down, one by one.

The horror film is written and directed by British director Christopher Smith, who helmed Severance and the German horror Creep. Triangle stars Melissa George, Holly Marie Combs, Rachael Carpani, Emma Lung, Liam Hemsworth, Michael Dorman and Henry Nixon.

According to the Empire posting, Triangle will be released in U.K. cinemas on October 16th. No word on a U.S. release date.
