Michael Moore has revealed the title of his upcoming documentary, which deals with the root causes of the global financial crisis, according to Variety. Capitalism: A Love Story is due to be released in U.S. theaters by Overture Films on October 2, 2009, a year and a day after the U.S. Senate voted to approve a $700 billion bailout of Wall Street. Paramount Vantage will handle international distribution.
The film is described as focusing on the disastrous impact that corporate dominance and out-of-control profit motives have on the lives of Americans and citizens of the world.
Capitalism: A Love Story was announced a year ago, during the Cannes Film Festival. As the project took shape, Moore decided to focus on the financial crisis and in February issued an appeal for people working on Wall Street and the financial industry to step forward and share what they knew.
Below is that sarcastic teaser trailer that Moore released a few months ago. Between the title and this trailer, I think we’re in for another classic Moore exposé.
