Hills Have Eyes director now eyeing Contractor

Frenchmen Alexandre Aja – who helmed the French language cult horror High Tension, as well as The Hills Have Eyes and Mirrors – is attached to direct the thriller The Contractor, according to Variety. Ian Jeffers (Death Sentence, upcoming Castlevania and Mandrake) is rewriting the script for the project, which Alexandra Milchan – daughter of noted producer Arnon Milchan – will produce.

The Contractor is set in a world where the U.S. government can no longer afford to fight wars and hires private contractors to send teams of elite soldiers on missions around the globe.

Aja is currently finishing up Piranha 3-D, a ‘re-imaging’ of the original franchise, for Dimension Films.
