Robert Zemeckis and Seth Green say Mars Needs Moms

Seth Green – who played the cool Amish guy named Ezekiel in Sex Drive – is set to star in Walt Disney Pictures’ adaptation of the Berkeley Breathed children’s novel Mars Needs Moms, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Green will play Milo, a boy who stows away on a spaceship to rescue his mother after she’s been kidnapped by aliens. Joan Cusack is already attached to film as Milo’s mom, while Mindy Sterling will play the alien leader of Mars.

Mars Needs Moms will be directed by Simon Wells (The Time Machine), with Robert Zemeckis producing, as a performance-capture movie, similar to The Polar Express.
