Speaking of Philip K. Dick adaptations, the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action movie Total Recall, is getting a remake. Neal H. Moritz and his Original Films co. are in final negotiations to develop a contemporary version of the Paul Verhoeven cult classic, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The original film was based on the Philip K. Dick story We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, which followed a man haunted by the recurring dream of journeying to Mars, who comes to believe he is a secret agent. He later winds up on Mars fighting to overthrow a tyrannical ruler that controls the air.
