Angels and Demons brings Tom Hanks back to the role of Robert Langdon, this time in search of a secret brotherhood called The Illuminati. Clues lead him all around the Vatican, including the four alters of science, Earth, Air, Fire and Water. An Assassin working for the Illuminati has captured and painfully tortured and murdered four cardinals, as Langdon searches for a very destructive weapon that could kill millions of people.
The Ron Howard film hits theaters on May 15, 2009.
