Sci-Fi Wire posted excerpts of a news conference in Beverly Hills given by producer Charles Roven who, among other things, confirmed that Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan is already thinking about a third Batman film, but denied rumors about the casting of any villains thus far. Roven added that a proposed Flash movie is still a possibility and the the movie Season of the Witch is already lensing.
He also confirmed that a sequel to Get Smart is in the works for 2010.
Roven was speaking at the event to promote the movie The International, which hits theaters on February 13, 2009. The Tom Tykwer-directed crime thriller follows the story of an Interpol agent (Clive Owen) attempting to expose a high-profile financial institution’s role in an international arms dealing ring.

Dominic Sena (Gone in Sixty Seconds, Swordfish, upcoming Whiteout) is attached to helm the period action fantasy film about 14th-century knights transporting a suspected witch to a monastery, where monks suspect her powers could be the source of the Black Plague. Season of the Witch is scheduled to hit theaters some time in 2010, with Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman, Stephen Graham, Stephen Campbell Moore, Ulrich Thomsen, Robert Sheehan and Claire Foy attached to star. The film is shooting in Austria and Hungary.
