Variety posted a link to this Italian trailer for the Dennis Quaid and Zhang Ziyi starrer The Horsemen, and pretty much slammed it. Ziyi and Quaid shot the project in Canada, and while the trailer doesn’t look very exciting, the movie sports an impressive cast, which also includes Clifton Collins Jr., Eric Balfour and Peter Stormare.
The movie tells the story of a hardened detective (played by Quaid), who finds himself thrust into an investigation of perverse serial killings rooted in the Biblical prophecy of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Zhang Ziyi is a mysterious woman, who becomes a suspect in one of the killings.
The Horsemen was directed by Jonas Akerlund, best known for directing the 2002 film Spun, which featured Mickey Rourke as a Meth dealer, and also starred Brittany Murphy, John Leguizamo, Jason Schwartzman and Mena Suvari.
