Scott Charles Stewart, who’s doing post-production work on his debut feature, the action thriller Legion, has signed on to helm the film Priest, an adaptation of what’s described as a horror Western comic book from TokyoPop, that was written by Min-Woo Hyung, and tells the story of a world ravaged by battles between humans and vampires. This according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project almost came together a few years back, with Gerard Butler attached to star, and Andrew Douglas (The Amityville Horror remake) directing a script by Cory Goodman.
Film Fetish Trivia: Scott Charles Stewart worked on visual effects for films including Grindhouse, Night at the Museum, Iron Man, Live Free or Die Hard and John Woo’s epic Red Cliff, as a senior member of the FX house The Orphanage.
