Paramount released two additional character posters from J.J. Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek origins film, due to kick off next year’s summer box office, when it gets to theaters on May 8th 2009. The two posters are of the Romulan Nero, played by Eric Bana, and the amazingly beautiful Nyota Uhura, played by Zoe Saldana. I haven’t seen the length of her skirt yet, but I’m hoping it’s about the same as the original Uhura, Nichelle Nichols.

The new film explores the early Starfleet careers of future Enterprise officers James Tiberius Kirk (played by Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Montgomery Scott a.k.a Scotty (Simon Pegg), Amanda Grayson (Winona Ryder), Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Leonard Bones McCoy (Karl Urban), Hikaru Sulu (John Cho), and Pavel Chekov (Anton Yelchin). A ), and a much older Spock (Leonard Nimoy) are influences, as well as Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood), the second captain of the USS Enterprise.

Film Fetish Trivia: Romulans are an alien species that are related to the Vulcans and are either at war or in some type of uneasy truce with the United Federation of Planets.
