Welle Die (The Wave) film trailer

German thriller The Wave screened at Sundance this year, along with the Edinburgh Film Fest in June. It revolves around a high school teacher’s experiment to demonstrate to his students what life is like under a dictatorship, but it soon spins horribly out of control when he forms a social unit with a life of its own.

The Dennis Gansel film stars Jurgen Vogel, Frederick Lau, Max Riemelt, Jennifer Ulrich, Christiane Paul, Elyas M’Barek, Cristina do Rego, Jacob Matschenz, Maximilian Vollmar and Max Mauff.
