Matt Dillon is having a bit of a renaissance right now. And showing his versatility at the same time. He’s gone from the Oscar worthy drama Crash, to the Kevin Bacon-directed Loverboy, to the upcoming comedy You, Me and Dupree with Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson, and the indie flick Factotum, which is being released by IFC films.
Factotum centers on a jack-of-all-trades (played by Matt Dillon), who wanders around Los Angeles trying to live off jobs which don’t interfere with his primary interests, which are women, drinking, gambling and writing.
The film also stars Marisa Tomei, Lili Taylor, Fisher Stevens, Karen Young, Didier Flamand, Adrienne Shelly and Tony Lyons. The Bent Hamer-directed film hits theaters on August 18, 2006.
