According to Variety, Morgan Freeman is in talks to star in the drama The Feast of Love for Lakeshore Entertainment. The Feast of Love will be based on a Charles Baxter novel about a community of friends in Oregon and the sometimes painful incarnations of love. Freeman would play a philosophy professor named Harry Scott.
Director Robert Benton (who won an Oscar for Kramer vs. Kramer) recently signed on to helm the movie, which is scheduled to begin shooting in August. Allison Burnett wrote the screenplay.
Gary Lucchesi is producing the film in association with Freeman’s Revelations Entertainment.
Freeman is currently filming Evan Almighty, the sequel to Bruce Almighty.
