Sin City 2 On Hold For Baby

SCI FI Wire reports that production on the sequel to Sin City is on hold, according to the actress Rosario Dawson, until Angelina Jolie gives birth to her and Brad Pitt’s first child, due sometime this summer.

Dawson, who played the sexy-but-deadly hooker Gail in Sin City, told the website, “The film’s kind of been postponed because (director Robert Rodriguez) has been interested in Angelina Jolie for the lead. But she’s very pregnant right now. So that’s putting an understandable hold on the film.”

Sin City 2, will also star part one vets Mickey Rourke, Jaime King and Brittany Murphy. Jolie will play the role of Ava, the Dame to Die For. Rodriquez has revealed the film would be based on Miller’s story, A Dame to Kill For.

Sin City 2 is scheduled for release in 2007.
