BBC News recently spoke with producer Rick McCallum about the upcoming Star Wars TV series. He said the writing team would start work soon and they plan to be ready to release episodes starting in 2008.
The series will be set between episodes three and four of the film series. It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing on the desert planet of Tatooine. McCallum’s plan is to have the series go on for at least 100 episodes.
